Here’s how we stop Big Tech from raising our electric bills | Opinion

In their Op Ed published by nj.com on November 3, 2025, NJSBN’s Rebecca Lubot and the NJ Sierra Club’s Anjuli Ramos-Busot make the case for why:

“Data centers must pay full price for the energy they use and for any required upgrades to the grid. And the utility companies that profit at our expense must invest their excessive profits into clean energy projects we will all benefit from. This is how we make electricity affordable for New Jersey.

With more clean energy and by holding big corporations accountable, we can lower our energy bills, create thousands of new good-paying jobs, and make sure our kids breathe cleaner air.”
