RRA announces a three part series on climate change and sustainability called LOCAL ACTION/GLOBAL IMPACT. Long a champion of environmental awareness, the Arboretum fosters public, corporate and private collaborative initiatives to promote sustainability efforts that educate the community and promote public participation. Joining the Arboretum in presenting this series are partners Ciel Power and Green Summit.
The first event of LOCAL ACTION/GLOBAL IMPACT is a panel discussion on May 10 focusing on clean water issues in New Jersey as affected by climate change. The panelists will include: Gov. Christine Todd Whitman, former head of the EPA and founder of The Whitman Strategy Group, providing environmental and energy consulting services to organizations and government agencies; J. Douglas Reid-Green, senior technical lead for BASF’s environmental remediation team; Jennifer Coffey, Executive Director of the Association of NJ Environmental Commissions; Randall Solomon, Executive Director of Sustainable Jersey; and, David Naidu, President of the Common Council of Summit, NJ, and a partner at K&L Gates with an emphasis on environment, land and natural resources.
The panel discussion will begin at 7 pm at Reeves-Reed Arboretum. There will be a special meet-and-greet reception with the panelists at 6:30 pm with limited availability.
