The EPA is proposing changes to Section 401 of the Clean Water Act that would strip states and Tribes of their power to veto or impose conditions on federal projects based on environmental impacts. These changes threaten not only environmental health but also the economic resilience of industries that depend on clean, reliable water like farming, food and beverage, tourism, and manufacturing.
This is a bipartisan issue with real local implications, and we need as many voices as possible urging the EPA to maintain strong, science-based protections.
Thank you for helping protect clean water and the authority that keeps our waterways safe. Please let me know if you have questions or need support sharing this with your network.
