Urge the EPA to Protect Energy Star

The Administration has announced plans to defund the EPA’s ENERGY STAR Program. Over its 30-year history, this program has proven success as a public-private partnership that has lowered operational costs, built consumer trust and confidence, and improved market competitiveness and performance consistency.

For every dollar invested by the EPA in ENERGY STAR, American businesses and households have reaped nearly $350 in energy cost savings. Data show that the program supports a substantial segment of the U.S. energy efficiency workforce, employing over 700,000 Americans in the manufacturing or installation of ENERGY STAR-certified products and equipment.
